AK canning jar

Above are the 5 little birds we have living in one of my hanging planters.  It is always a worrisome thing for both the poor mama bird and me when I need to water my plant.  (Don’t worry, I do it along the edge away from those sweet babies.)

This week is the beginning of summer break.  Ya-hoo!  Time for grilling and summer tastiness.  I hope all of you are off to a great start!  For more menu planing ideas, head over to Laura’s blog for Menu Plan Monday.

Printable grocery list for this week’s dinners.

Tuesday: Turkey and pineapple salad with cornbread (with left-over turkey)

Wednesday: Frittata with spinach and mushrooms

This morning we found one of those baby birds, along with his/her egg shell, on the sidewalk in front of our house. Weird thing was, we couldn’t see any sign of a nest in the one scrawny tree nearby. Weird!Oh, yeah…this post was about menu plans really, wasn’t it? What’s that anyways? Do you actually take a few moments to THINK about what you’re going to cook for dinner before the hour actually approaches?? Unheard of! I must give this a try…but am I brave enough? :-/
