I am hosting the Gluten Free Menu Swap this week.  The theme?  Slow cooking!  I love my slow cooker, and use it several times a week.  Without it, dinner might not get ready with our busy schedule.  I have all my slow cooker recipes here (you can find that on the Recipes & Links page at the top of the blog).  Some of our families favorites are Burgundy Mushroom Stew, Cassoulet, French Toast Casserole, Sweet and Sour ChickenTaco Chili, and Turkey Sloppy Joes.  Yum!  If you need some ideas how to adapt a recipe from the oven to the slow cooker, I have guidelines here.

I also just linked up a new ebook that is part of a new series for me:  Slow Cooker Meals for the Freezer.  Each recipe has easy to assemble freezer instructions and slow cooker instructions for the day you need to serve it.  The first in the series is all about chili, perfect for the cool fall weather.

Now onto the menu plan for the week!  I will also be sharing this at Organized Junkie’s Menu Plan Monday link up.

What is on everyone else’s plate this week?

Emily at Our Frugal Happy Life has a bunch of yummy sounding recipes she found on Pinterest (Yay for Pinterest!).  This week they are having Carnitas, Garlic Cheddar Chicken, Pizza Sloppy Joes, Creamy Chilaquiles, Crispy Pizza Wraps, and Parmesan Garlic Chicken.  She also has a quick run down of what will be for breakfast and lunches in their house.  Sounds delicious!

Lisa at Extraordinary Life loves her crock pot, too!  This week (besides the big turkey she is thawing right now) she’ll be cooking  slow cooker roast beef, slow cooker Chicken Delicious, crock pot chili, crock pot braised round steak and pizza (not in the crock pot – LOL!).  Sounds great!

Wendy at Celiacs in the House  is back to her weekly menu planning.   She is cooking for her at home crowd and a child away at college.  On her plate this week are Tofu Fried Rice (and a Chicken Fried rice, also), curried Fish and Vegetables, Korean Beef Tacos, Pesto Minestrone, Socca Pizza, Roasted Chicken, and GF Panini.  She also has a big baking spree planned for the week.  Welcome back, Wendy!

Paige of Not Missing a Thing! is joining us with a great menu.  On her menu this week is Taco Supper Skillet, Macaroni and Cheese (gluten, dairy and egg free!), Chicken Italiano, Meatloaf with roast potatoes, and Buckwheat Pancakes.  I love pancakes for dinner!

Heather of Celiac Family has a tasty week planned with Chicken Tacos, Parmesan Tilapia, slow cooked Chicken Breasts, Swwet and Sour Chicken and Cilantro Lime Shrimp.  Yum!  If you would like to host the Gluten Free Menu Swap some week, drop Heather a line and let her know.  🙂

Amanda of Gluten Free Detroit Metro is breaking out her slow cooker with slow cooker shepherd’s pie, chili, and beef stew.  They are also having pizza night and participation in a Detroit local blogger holiday event.  How fun is that?

Samantha of So Simply Good is feeling a bit behind this week so is putting her slow cooker to good use, but it’s all for a good reason:  a new niece!  Congrats!  Besides baby snuggling, the week is full of eating steak tips with roasted veggies, slow cooker chicken, Shredded Beef Taco Roast, Leek and Sweet Potato Soup, and Firecracker chicken on zucchini noodles.  Yum!

Cheryl of Gluten Free Goodness has links up for her annual T-day round up.  Need to know what GF turkeys are out there, recipes and a plan for the day?  She has got you covered!  On her menu this week is Marinated Herb Chicken and Quinoa with kale pesto.  She is going to dig out her slow cooker and see what inspires her for the rest.  🙂
