Day 12 of the Organized Christmas countdown talks about the lure of Christmas magazines.  This is a huge one for me.  I can’t even eat the food in those things and yet they are so hard for me to resist!  Yeah, for me it’s not the articles, it’s the food porn…  I’m sure there is a 12-step program for glossy food magazines…

The recipe this week are haystacks.  Her version of haystacks uses rolled oats (use GF certified!), shredded coconut and pecans.  Use a milk replacement, such as almond milk, GF vanilla and Earth Balance Buttery Spread to replace the gluten and dairy ingredients in the recipe.  Haystacks for me means those chow mein noodle no-bake cookies.  If that what you think of and would like to make those,  Gluten Free Gobsmacked has a great post on homemade pasta that she also made into chow mein noodles!  Grandma Ferdon’s also carries a gluten and dairy free chow mein noodle you can purchase ready made.
